New York Agency Review: Bella Model Agency

Is Bella Agency legit? Here’s the Truth

In the modeling industry, it is not common to have an agency grow for over 20 years. For Bella Model Management, that is the exact opposite. Since opening their doors in 2004, the agency has grown astronomically from its small roots. Ready to become a Bella model? Here is what they are looking for if your trying to become a model in New York.

In the early 2000s, many model agencies launched in New York City. Players such as REQUEST Models, RED Model Management, and Q Models made a name for themselves as modern millennium agencies. Bella stood out from the rest when, in 2005, they launched their mature division, which focused on models over the age of 40. While it is not unique in 2025 to see agencies with commercial models on their roster, it was not as common back then to have a commercial model represented by a top modeling agency.

Since their launch in New York City by owner Ray Volant, Bella opened an outpost in Los Angeles in 2011 to ensure this boutique agency has a broad range of talent on both coasts. Working with major brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, JP Morgan, and Nike, they quickly established themselves as a reputable and legitimate modeling agency, working with a variety of talent.

What are the requirements to become a model?

Bella Models accepts male and female talent without any experience. Their main board signs female models who are 5'9" to 6'0". For male models, the minimum requirement is 6'1" up to 6'4". They also work with child models aged 10 to 16 and influencers.

To become a model with Bella, simply apply on their official website or use a casting platform such as Latitude Talent, which is known to provide exceptional opportunities for models and actors of all backgrounds. Applying on an agency website is really easy. Simply upload clear and recent pictures, as well as accurate stats such as height, eye color, hair color, and your correct contact information.

Remember, modeling agencies typically do not want to see professional photos unless they are from work you have booked.

If you are submitting photo to a model scout, they do not need to be highly edited or overly produced.
