Can you be a model with acne?

Are you an aspiring model or actor looking to get started? Or maybe an established talent that has a photo shoot coming up. Should you attend the shoot with a pimple breakout? Can you become a model with acne? These are common questions Latitude receives often from talent. Here is a simple answer to a common problem.

Airbrush, a Models best friend

If you are attending a modeling job, the client will most always airbrush the final photographs they use for the campaign. While it is common to shoot hundreds of photographs in one session, not all photos will be picture perfect or chosen by the client. If you get one nice photograph out of 50 you are lucky!

Prior to the shoot, ask the casting director or client if you should wear makeup. While most will tell you to come fresh-faced, keep your skin clean and avoid heavy moisturizes the night before your shoot as they can clog pores.

Acne in models is common due to the amount of makeup they wear. If you are a model worried about acne, DON’T!
